Bon Jovi et le tourisme du New Jersey

Apparemment le Gouverneur du New Jersey envisagerait de faire appel au Groupe pour utiliser leur chanson "Who says you can't go home" dans une campagne publicitaire pour le tourisme du New Jersey d'où les guys sont originaires.

Le gouverneur Jon Corzine à l'intention de s'entretenir avec Jon à ce sujet mais aussi sur d'autres objectifs qui pourraient faire accroître le tourisme de la région.

Tourism Booming in New Jersey

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - March 29, 2007 - Despite New Jersey's two decades of image-building efforts, mention the Garden State to some people and the first images that leap to mind are toxic waste, tolls, and Tony Soprano.

The industry is New Jersey's third-largest, after pharmaceuticals and chemicals, said Karen Wolfe, a spokeswoman for the commerce commission.

Commerce Secretary Virginia Bauer cited a number of initiatives the state undertook in the past year to boost tourism, including getting the rock group Bon Jovi to allow its hit song "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" to be used in New Jersey tourism commercials. Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi is a Sayreville native.

Corzine said he'd like to work out a deal with the rocker to use the song in new advertisements this year, assuming they can agree on a price. The governor said he plans to meet with Jon Bon Jovi soon to discuss a number of topics, including the tourism campaign.
