Sambora begs for Heather reunion

Rocker Richie Sambora is begging ex-wife Heather Locklear to take him back, according to US reports.

The Bon Jovi guitarist is allegedly desperate to resurrect his relationship with Locklear, whom he divorced last year.

Sambora wants to give the relationship another go in the wake of his split with actress Denise Richards earlier this month, it was claimed.

She reportedly ended it because she was worried about the musician's alleged hard drinking in the wake of his father's death.

"Denise understands his pain, but she just couldn't help him," a pal of the couple told the National Enquirer magazine.

Sambora and Locklear have reportedly remained close, despite their divorce after 12-years, and they have a nine-year-old daughter Ava.

"Now that he's at his lowest, all he can do is try to get them back.

"Richie calls Heather in tears, begging her to give their marriage another try."

But insiders say that reconciliation between the pair is unlikely, after Heather was not invited to the funeral of Sambora's father.

"Heather was furious Ava didn't get to say goodbye to her grandfather and that she wasn't included in the funeral.

"Then, after seeing photos of Denise at the funeral, Heather refused to talk to Richie for several days."
