Rove's Bon Jovi beef

CONFIDENTIAL started it, but Rove McManus could take his beef with rocker Jon Bon Jovi to the US when he appears on the Jay Leno talk show - for the second time - later this month.

After we spotted the singer sporting a slogan t-shirt 'Tell Your Mum I Said Hi,' the Aussie comic - whose signature sign-off is "Say Hi To Your Mum For Me'' - hit back with his own fashion statement, sporting a variation on a Bon Jovi hit "You Give Rove A Bad Name.''

But the Jove v Rove bout could go to the American on a technicality, after he told the latest issue of US People magazine that he took his shirt from a girl who handed it over during a visit to a university.

Which we think would pre-date our local boy's act by a few years - but we're still in Rove's corner, so spar on!
