Bon Jovi will headline a slate of entertainers with strong Pennsylvania ties for Gov. Ed Rendell's inauguration, the Democrat's inaugural committee said Saturday.
Also scheduled to perform at today's $100-per-ticket concert are former teen idol Frankie Avalon and disco group The Trammps.
The concert will be held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show complex in Harrisburg after the Democrat is sworn in for his second four-year term.
Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi of Middletown has strong ties to Philadelphia , where Rendell served two terms as mayor. Bon Jovi is co-owner of the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul and he was given the City of Brotherly Love Award last fall for his work with Habitat for Humanity.

Richards plans to wed Bon Jovi rocker
Bang! Showbiz | Monday, 15 January 2007

Denise Richards and Richie Sambora are planning to marry in Italy this summer, it has been claimed.
The actress, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, and the Bon Jovi guitarist are reportedly planning to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Milan .
A friend of Denise's told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Denise loves Milan so it will probably be there."
The pal also revealed that the couple do not want a big Hollywood wedding and are only planning to invite around 50 guests, all of which will be just family and close friends.
Denise and Richie caused a storm when they began dating shortly after the rocker separated from his wife and Denise?s close friend actress Heather Locklear last April.
However, Denise?s ex Charlie gave his former spouse and Richie his blessing.
He said: ?Well, at least I knew the guy that she wound up with. To know that it's somebody decent and smart and a good parent to be around your children, that's a good thing."
Denise and Charlie have two daughters, Lola and Sam, together.
